Instructions for Installing One-Piece Bolt On Wheel Spacers and Adapters

Motorsport-Tech includes mounting hardware for ALL bolt on style spacers and adapters. Please use the hardware we provide to mount the spacer/adapter to your vehicle.

PLEASE READ - INSTALLATION STEPS
* DO NOT USE AIR TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION OR REMOVAL *
* HAND TOOLS ONLY. PLEASE USE A TORQUE WRENCH *

1) Both mounting surfaces must be clean and flat. Remove all retaining clips, hub rings, screws, etc. that do not allow the part to sit flush to the vehicle.

2) Install the spacer/adapter to the vehicle, using the hardware we provide, and torque to the manufacturer’s wheel torque specs.

*Stock studs may need to be trimmed down (shortened) if they protrude past the surface of the spacer/adapter and interfere with the mounting of the wheel.

*ALL wheels being installed with 15mm-18mm bolt on parts MUST have pockets. Otherwise, the adapter hardware will not sit flush and will interfere with the wheel mounting properly.

3) Install the wheel to the adapter if no interference is found. Torque the hardware to the manufacturer’s wheel torque specs. *Please assure the proper thread engagement (6+ full turns) on lug nuts or lug bolts. Please contact us before driving if you do not get at least 6 full turns. 775.351.1000 or email info@motorsport-tech.com.

*Wheels must have a clean, machined backpad. All powdercoat and paint must be removed before mounting.

4) Once installed, drive the vehicle slowly. If there are no problems (noise, vibration, anything out of the ordinary), drive about 5 miles. Re-torque the lug nuts attaching the spacer/adapter to the hub and then re-torque the wheel hardware.

Instructions for Installing 2-Piece Bolt On Wheel Adapters

Motorsport-Tech includes mounting hardware for all 2 piece adapters. Please use the hardware we provide to mount the adapter to your vehicle.

* DO NOT USE AIR TOOLS FOR INSTALLATION OR REMOVAL *
* HAND TOOLS ONLY. PLEASE USE A TORQUE WRENCH *

1) Both mounting surfaces must be clean and flat. Remove all retaining clips, hub rings, screws, etc. that do not allow the part to sit flush to the vehicle

2) Take the 2 piece adapter apart. The bottom plate will mount to the vehicle hub with the hardware supplied by us. Do not use any other hardware.

3) Install the bottom plate and torque this hardware to the manufacturer’s wheel torque specs

4) Before installing the top plate, make sure the studs and lug nuts do not extend above the surface of the bottom plate. If this happens you must cut down the stock studs. Do not cut into the lug nuts. The top piece must sit flush to the bottom plate. Lug nuts should get 7 full turns when mounting, Please contact us if you are unsure if modifications are needed. 775.351.1000 or email info@motorsport-tech.com.

5) Install the top plate by lining up the dowel pins and bolt holes. Keep adapter pairs matched - failure to do so could result in vibration or other problems.

6) Insert the flat head cap screws and torque them to 50 ft. lbs.

7) Install the wheel to the adapter and torque hardware to manufacturer’s specs for wheel torque. *Please assure the proper thread engagement (6+ full turns) on lug nuts or lug bolts.
